Roaming around Denver near the zoo and caught this bloke mowing his lawn using human power. Nice! There’s a lawn care company in town who will even do this for you: http://greenclippers.com/

This house was using a furniture box to collect their grass clippings. Nice reuse!

I was having a great time in Denver but I forgot that my car was under a meter that expired. So I ran to save my car, only to find a meter maid had just passed by it. But some good somaritan had beat the maid to it and added some coins to my meter! Whoever you are, thank you!

Had to fuel up and I noticed that I had the option of using 85 octane at the pump - California’s lowest octane is 87.

Gotta scoot but wanted to show you how my hosts conserve in their daily lives. Here is Geoff’s sideyard with his push lawn mower, large recycle bin and smaller trash can. Seattle seems to have it right by under-sizing people’s trash cans (where possible) and charging them extra for creating extra garbage. And a push mower? I thought that was from the 1950’s! Of course, look at the next picture and see who we’re talking about here. Is Geoff trying to bring the fish back to life?

What else could Geoff and his family do to reduce their waste?
